Kinds of cable tray

Ladder type

Consist of both longitudinal side rails connected by individual transverse members called rungs.

Solid bottom type

Consists of both longitudinal side rails connected with a reinforced solid bottom.

Solid bottom trays are most often used to provide electrical or magnetic shielding forvery sensitive communications and signal circuitry.

Perforated type

Consist of both longitudinal side rails connected with a perforated bottom.

Perforations in the tray bottom allow for maximum airflow to cables, so they can staycool and won't build up heat.
